Arran Cycle Routes

Every ferry to Arran has it's complement of bikes bound for a challenging day-circuit of the island or a hill-free potter to Corrie. Cycle hire facilities are plentiful if you want to sample the island's roads before deciding to bring your own bike.

The most popular challenge is the round the island ride but shorter routes are possible using the two roads which cross inland. Planning on around 40 miles a day you can cycle all the island's roads in three days.

There's some forest track/off-road around Lamlash and Whiting Bay.

The Arran Ferry leaves from Ardrossan and crosses to Brodick.
