Kilwinning / Irvine Cycle Routes

All routes start from Visitor Centre at Eglinton Park.

Route A - leave Visitors Centre going round to the left past factory. Continue round and join cycle path on right at exit gate.

After 200 yds cross road on to continuation of cycle path. Immediately across River Garnock turn left. Follow cycle route round to T-junction. Turn left and pick up cycle route on other side of road. Follow round to Irvine Moor and dip under bridge. Cross footbridge and go straight over. Follow cycle route signs to Irvine Harbour. Retrace for return mode.

Route B - leave Visitors Centre as above. At end of short length of cycle path turn right onto road. Continue straight through for 1.5 miles then cross dog-leg. At next T-junction turn right. Just before railway bridge turn left to Dalgarven Mill. Retrace up hill to railway bridge then turn left under it. Take first right and right again at T-junction. At next T-junction turn right and after 0.5 miles turn left then first right to descend to river (with care). Continue to Benslie bearing right on main road. Watch for Millburn Road on right and proceed down it into Eglinton Park. Follow cycle route back to Visitors Centre.

Route C - leave Visitors Centre on cycle path. follow through to join Millburn Road. Turn left at T-junction. After 0.5 miles continue straight ahead on to minor road and continue to cross bridge. At junction turn right and continue for 2 miles. Turn right and left on to B778. Continue to Stewarton. Just before railway bridge turn sharp right into Kilwinning Road. Follow for 4 miles and turn right just after road join from left. Cross straight over at Torranyard. Turn left at Benslie then first right (Millburn Road). Continue down to Eglinton Park and retrace to Visitors Centre.
